Mandy Rodgers, a digital marketing executive with 15 years of communications experience, has launched Mandy Kay Marketing (MKM), an agency based in Atlanta. A graduate from the University of Georgia, Rodgers spent 11 years in Los Angeles working alongside major studios including NBCUniversal, Sony Pictures, WarnerMedia, Lionsgate, Paramount Pictures and Walt Disney Studios on iconic brands like Game of Thrones, The Fast Saga, Spider-Man, X-Men, Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Sonic the Hedgehog and Frozen.

She recently held the position of Vice President, Client Services in Los Angeles at the London-based entertainment agency Think Jam, where she led 500+ marketing campaigns across theatrical movies, home entertainment releases, streaming platforms, independent films, TV series, consumer products and more.

With her new venture, she’s working to bridge the gap between the two coasts by combining her extensive Hollywood experience with her Southeast hometown connections to bring a unique solution to the Atlanta area — a growing market for all things entertainment.

“Atlanta has always been a great city, and with the massive amounts of film and TV productions here now, the industry and opportunity is truly booming,” she said. “I am looking forward to continuing work with my favorite studio clients and extending relationships with brands in my hometown.”

Rodgers was recognized last year in Media Play News’ 40 Under 40 list, citing her pivotal work at the start of the COVID-19 shutdown with Universal Pictures’ first Premium VOD film releases, as well as her campaigns across multiple studios working to shift marketing strategies to quickly adapt to a new world.

“I have worked on some of the biggest properties in the world as well as intimate filmmaker passion projects while partnering with fantastic clients through every step of the release process for the last decade,” she said. “The perfect next phase for me was to launch a new marketing agency and continue growing and evolving in this space with a fresh perspective.”

At launch, MKM’s client roster already includes top studios like Universal Pictures, Warner Bros. and Netflix, as well as the Atlanta-based events company Imagine Exhibitions, which she first worked with on Downton Abbey: The Exhibition when it opened in Atlanta last year.

MKM’s current services include: national and regional publicity, influencer marketing, grassroots / promotional partner campaigns, local event management / support and consulting opportunities. Rodgers believes in the importance of strategic partnerships and has a network of agencies and freelancers across events, graphic design, market research and multicultural PR, to name a few, to always offer clients the best solutions for their campaigns.

“I defined what services MKM is focused on, but I also have resources outside of the agency to extend opportunities to. I love working with my trusted network of experts in other fields to ensure my clients get access to industry power players wherever possible,” she said. “Assembling Avengers-like marketing teams for different projects is one of my biggest goals this year.”
