Twisters - Home Entertainment Campaign

To promote the Premium VOD and Digital release of the blockbuster film TWISTERS, we worked with Universal Home Entertainment to  host a special event consisting of a recreation of the TWIN TWISTERS scene on the studio's new virtual production stage featuring a state-of-the-art LED screen. 

Each participant entered the soundstage and ‘drove’ a Ram Truck against the backdrop of the iconic Twin Twisters scene featuring Brandon Perea playing Boone. We produced segments intercutting the press/influencer footage with the film scene for editorial and social usage. Additionally, Brandon Perea completed 28 interviews by the decked-out Ram Truck from the film and Dorothy herself. 

Participants also enjoyed a Cowboy Hat Bar from Weld and Wool where they customized  a hat putting them right in the Oklahoma backdrop of TWISTERS. 30 press and influencers participated across Broadcast, Online and Content Creators.

In addition, we created a gift set inviting recipients to join the Tornado Wranglers. The box included all of the essentials: drone, weather monitor, wind chime, belt buckle, T-shirts, baseball cap, on-the-road snacks and a signed headshot of Tyler Owens. It was distributed to 40+ press and influencers in the US and Canada. 

Rounding out the campaign consisted of virtual interviews with Ben Snow (VFX Supervisor) Al Nelson (Supervising Sound Editor) and co-star Sasha Lane and exclusive clip placements with People Magazine, Collider, Moviefone, Screenrant, The Mary Sue and more.
